Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, implement and maintain new PHP web applications, adhering to coding standards.
2. Maintain and enhance existing services and internal applications.

Required Skills/Experience:

• STRONG ability in PHP and MySQL development
• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (experience accepted in lieu of degree)
• Ability to hand-code HTML/CSS
• Experience with Javascript/DHTML (Prototype/Scriptaculous a plus)
• Understanding of object oriented design
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Preferred Skills:

• Linux shell environment
• Version control systems (Subversion, CVS, etc.)
• Other languages such as Perl and Ruby
• AJAX
• Cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility testing
• MVC application frameworks
• Database schema design and optimization
